The 2015 Arsies: February 9, 2015

February 9, 2015 arse

Holy hell, we're getting close to the end now, folks. Kicking things off, Hark starts us up with their most excellent Crystalline. The album does a great job of setting a mucky tone, wearing their Soundgarden influences on their sleeves to entertaining effect. But as successfully moody as Hark are, they too are swept away by the fun-time avalanche that is Aborted's The Necrotic Manifesto. So much high-energy, so much riff salad, and the spiritual callbacks to the bands that influence Aborted are a bonus touch. Aborted do a great job of reminding you what we're here for tonight, and so they proceed into the Quarterfinals.
Tonight, Revocation battle with Ne Obviscaris!
